About

Who We Are

Portland Metro Residential Services is a well-established nonprofit organization that provides compassionate, professional, caring, personalized supports to people with Intellectual/developmental disabilities within 24-hour residential services. We strive for a family environment yet still provide autonomy and independence.

We have over 30 years of experience working with people with varying abilities who experience cerebral palsy, dementia, autism spectrum, neurological conditions such as seizure disorders as well as mental health conditions. We value our mission to provide supports that enable a person to continue to live in their home regardless of any new conditions or as they age. Many of our older population have lived within a PMRS group home since we started our agency in 1989.

We also value our employees, their opinions matter, their feedback and ideas are important to the ongoing success of our agency. We value, respect and embrace diversity among our team of knowledgeable, caring, professional employees who provide care with a Heart of Gold.
